26. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP XC-SKIING FOR DOCTORS & PHARMACISTS (WMCC)
03. and 04. February 2024 in Oberammergau 45 km classical technique and 21 km skating
Swimming, cycling and running during summer time are the best sports referring to the view of the preemptive medicine. During winter time it’s cross country skiing without any doubts. Therefore the International Medical Triathlon Association (IMTA) has decided to organize not only the international triathlon and duathlon competition, but also a cross country skiing World championship for physicians and pharmacists. The IMTA has passed into the Triathlon-Verein deutscher Ärzte und Apotheker (TVDÄ) in 2016.
Eligible for the championship class are all kinds of physicians, pharmacists, veterinarians and dentists. Students of one of these branches compete in the student category, without ranking for the championship. Students will compete in a separate category. Part of this event is a symposium focused on endurance sports.
The 24. cross country skiing world championship of physicians and pharmacists is part of the König Ludwig cross country skiing competition.
Age grouping in the championship league is five year wise, in the students group with no championship ranking and no further classification.
All participants are considered also in the ranking of the König Ludwig Lauf (following the age grouping).
